Our international coordinators are available for consultation at the times liested below. Consultations are generally 30 minutes per client each time. Fixed regular appointments are not available.

Japanese Language Courses & Support
TPIEF offers free Japanese language instruction for foreign nationals residing in Tottori Prefecture. Learners unable to attend courses may contact us to arrange for individual instruction.

TPIEF trains special medical interpreters for free use by foreign nationals at medical and health centres. Please click

Community Interpreters
Registered volunteers are also available to interpret at secondary schools, preschools, kindergartens, municipal offices, insurance and pension offices, immigration, and the like. Visit

Notary Public Consultations (Head Office Only)
A certified notary public, Gyoseishoshi-Lawyers, is available at our office once per month to answer your questions regarding visa procedures and related mattters. Please notify us ahead of time. There is no fee for appointments.
●In-person consultations are offered at our Head Office, with video conferences at our Kurayoshi and Yonago offices.

Scholarships for Privately Funded Students
TPIEF can help provide funding for students paying their own way at tertiary institutions within Tottori Prefecture. The scholarship committee meets each year to select recipients on the basis of school recommendations. Application periods may differ depending your institution of study; contact your institution directly for details. Contact us for information on qualifications and other details.
